Going to Boston
Popular three dice game, also known as Yankee, Yankee Grab or Newmarket.
Going to boston
Goal: After 10 rounds be the player with the most points.
Play: Two or more players, three dice and a notepad are required. One player begins and play continues clockwise. There is a total of ten rounds.
On a players turn, roll all three dice and set aside the highest die and re-roll the other two. Keep the highest die of the two and re-rell the last. Total all three dice and record the result on the notepad.
The player with the highest score from each round earns 1 point. If there is a tie in a round, the round is replayed. After ten rounds, the player with the most points (won the most rounds) is the winner. If multiple players tie, a playoff round is played to determine the winner.
Variation
Instead of having each round be worth 1 point, each progressive round is worth 1 point more than the last. The first round is worth 1 point, second round 2 points, third round 3 points and so forth. This will make a total of 55 points up for grabs. As in the original rules, the player with the most points wins.
