Farkle
Popular family game, also known as Ten Thousand. Players set aside scoring combinations with the goal of being the first to 10,000 points.
Farkle
Goal: Set aside scoring combinations and be the first player to reach 10,000 points.
Play: Two or more players, six dice, a notepad and dice cup are required to play. One player begins and play continues clockwise.
Player begins by rolling all six dice and setting aside at least one of the scoring combinations:
- A triplet of 1s is equal 1,000 points
- A triplet of 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, & 6s is equal 200, 300, 400, 500 & 600 respectively
- A single 1 equals 100 points
- A single 5 equals 50 points
Players are required to keep at least one scoring combination after each roll. After setting aside a scoring combination players can re-roll their remaining dice as many times as they like. You cannot re-roll a scoring combination once it is set aside, however if a player is successful in setting all six aside, they can pick up all the dice and roll to add to their accumulated score.
A players turn ends by one of the following ways.
- A player can decide to end their turn. The points accumulated from the round are totaled and recorded to a notepad. These points are now safe for the remainder of the game.
- If a player is unable to produce a scoring combination after a roll, their turn ends and they do not score any points for that turn.
Keep a running total of each players saved points. The first player to reach 10,000 points is the winner.
